Hi Vaicent,
I checked my e-mail archive and saw that support for Mamba Black (versions up through 1.9) was discontinued at the end of 2011. I suspect Medialas isn't likely to respond to requests for support on a product dating back to 2005.
Also be aware that the update from 1.x to Mamba 2 wasn't free. It cost something around US$250 to upgrade back in early 2011 and was locked to the serial code of the user's dongle. I believe this is true of all updates to Mamba Black and Mamba 2 and MIII. Medialas sends a user-specific update file link that expires 48 hours after they send it. In addition, that packaging doesn't look like an original Mamba Black product. At least by version 1.8 or 1.9, the packaging was a black box with a CD that looked very different to what you have there.
Finally, and probably most important, anything before Mamba 2 was very buggy in my experience (memory leaks, BSOD, etc.) so trying to get it to work on Windows 7 might not be worth your effort. Upgrading to Mamba 2 or MIII may be a better bet if you are intent on staying with a Medialas product. Otherwise, be aware that LSX is a very powerful and reasonably priced alternative that is compatible with Medialas DACs.
Good luck to you whatever path you decide to take!
