Default Microsoft Office 2007 Professional - Discs Wanted

As the thread title really. I'm desparately in need of a set (2 CD's) of MS Office Professional 2007.

Just to be clear i'm not wanting to pirate the software or do anything illegal. I have here a legal set of CD's that I have not touched since I installed the program, probably back in 2008. I've just had a problem on my office PC and some tech support chappy has screwed up my Excel and Word program files. So, I go to the draw where I keep my software discs, get out the MS Pro 2007 discs and Disc 1 has a crack in it. Aaarrrrrggghhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've got piles of figures to collate, letters to write and my chuffin' disc is screwed. Tech support say they're sorry but offer no solution as they say it couldn't possible be anything they've done that's screwed it. They haven't even got the decency to send me a 2007 install disc as they say the program is now out of date! However, they are happy to *sell* me the latest version of the program.

If anyone can help out i'll gladly refund postage and give a little something for your time.

    Cheers

    Jem

No problem Jem, just put the next link in a bookmark: link
    Ofcourse completely legal!
These are the retail/oem disks, you have to use the key which you already have.
And off course completely legal also!

Oh Dear.... Well, thanks for the links, however, that's now caused another problem. I reinstalled the software from the link and it accepted my genuine product key. But now when I run the software it asks me to register the software. I've tried to do that both online and by telephone, it says my copy of Office 2007 Professional isn't a genuine copy. I've rung MS tech support and they inform me that I have pirated software on my PC. Again,,, AAArrrggghhhhh !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jeez, there must be a way around this, all I want to do is some work from the ever increasing pile on my desk.

Sorry Astatic, didn't mean to vent. Particularly as you've been so helpful. But it would appear that the software links on the site are non-legal downloads.

So, i'm back to square one. Looks like I now have to uninstall all my MS Office Pro files and start from scratch. I'm starting to think it may be easier to just go to PC World and buy a new version and start from scratch... Problem than is i'll have to learn to use the new product 'features' in the latest version

These links aint illegal, these are official files from MS and the company is a official partner of MS.

I think the first installation with the crack on the disk got you into this genuine copy message.
I've searched for you and maybe the solution which is giving on the topic starter will also solve your problem.

Did you ask MS where you can get a copy of the media to replace your broken one?
The 'pirated' software bit is a load of bo**ocks to be honest, you should be able to take any equivalent media and use your license key.
I suspect what is going wrong is that you are using a single user license key to validate media that is a 'corporate' edition or something, and so it throws it's toys out of the pram.
All you need to do is download an unhacked copy of the same media as yours is (single user, or whatever they class it as, or whatever you bought) and use that.

WinXP used to come in a few different flavours, all the same data on the disc, but they had a flag that was set to say if it was Home, Pro, Corporate, etc and this ductated what content was installed and how it validated against the license key.

It's completely ridiculous that you can't replace the media via a download when you have a valid license key.

You are using Bonetti's defense against me, ah?

I thought it fitting, considering the rocky terrain.

Jem I have a genuine copy.

You're more than welcome to drop it off on your hard drive and add your key or alternatively I can supply you with a copy disc of your broken one once I have my main pc working again - lack of time has prevented me rebuilding it properly yet.

The disk i pointed to are retail/oem disks originals from Microsoft, these are the same as you would buy a single user license in a shop.
The ones Norty points to are volume license copies (VLC) and won't accept the key Jem got.
I used these executables more then ones and never got the genuine message, i think his system got "infected" by the first installation media.
If these where pirated cd's you wouldn't had to use the lincense key in the first place.

Could you do a system restore with your system, this could also help you get a working office if it was damaged after the restore point.
Here's a link to the microsoft documentation: link
