    Default LK-PD1

Well... you asked for it. So far I've gotten some video of the output. I'll add photos of the internals once I get a chance to open it up.

Here is a you tube link:

And here is the thread that started it:

The video is private, can you change the permissions in youtube please?

You are using Bonetti's defense against me, ah?

I thought it fitting, considering the rocky terrain.

I was in on the 2nd group buy and received 2 of these. They are functionally identical (which is a good thing), however I noticed something interesting. The fan on the rear of the green module doesn't spin on either unit I bought. I put the meter on the leads and there's no voltage present on either unit. I also notice a piece of heat transfer material poking out from between the green module and its mount, maybe they're going for passive cooling on this color?

While I had the front panel off, I took some power readings off the mirrors. Both units tested very close to each other:

    Red: 58mW
    Green: 67mW
    Blue: 250mW

Total power: 375mW. The one I have is advertised at 500mW, and I bet I'd get much closer to that if I metered right off the heads themselves.

Overall, it's plenty bright for what it is.

Also, I have mapped out the entire DMX control chart using a combination of LSX+Etherdream (w/DMX module)+Behringer BCR2000. I now have fully rotary knob control over all functions you see in the video above. Very cool!

All in all, I'm pleased with the purchase, just wanted to add my observations.

    Thanks,

    -rick

That seems massively cool, could you demonstrate it in a video or something? I'm interested in how somebody else uses that MIDI controller with LSX

Could you share the DMX control chart? I need to make the diffraction grating projection a smaller...controllable size. I'm using Quickshow with Entec Pro. Thanks for your efforts.
