Hi guys, just dropping in to say Hi and let you know I am still around if not active here very much.

Work is still driving me nuts, and despite a minor breakdown a week before Xmas that has left me totally f!!ked up on medication I am holding it together despite ugly side effects. FYI I lost control in the office environment and went totally ballistic ripping a few new assholes for those that had it coming. Wound up a shaking nut case throwing up, the full works and jerks. Lucky guns are illegal here....

I am close to resigning due to circumstances beyond my tolerance levels, so I was thinking about some distractions to immediately take my mind off my career for a while. There was talk last year about a Melbourne LEM. Is there a date set? I have family in Melbourne and now one of my twin daugters is living/working in Melbourne so a trip in Feb/March is definitely on the cards for me. Time to escape Perth for a while. Add to this I have not performed a live laser show in many months so some laser action could be just the ticket to reinvigorating my creative side and help me to relax and explore my creative side.

I would also love to finally meet great guys like Dave and Tony.

What's been happening around here lately? Any goss? Any new semiconductor laser breakthroughs?

Either date in March could work. For me it all depends on my tolerance chip and the likelyhood of my pulling the pin before then. Tomorrow will be an interesting day at work, I have spent all weekend stewing over some really stupid and frustrating things that happened Friday, so I am on knife edge trigger for a second round of going postal especially with my boss.... Watch this space, I am ready to blow a major fuse again. I have stopped taking meds also so I am loaded, primed and ready to go thermo-nuclear.

Soon to be unemployed is my gut feeling.

Nothing really new....as in new diodes !!! Seems like the technology moves in a quanta like fashion....I am sure there are new dvelopments....just not filtered down to us !! Hang in there !!

Some of your comments are pretty disturbing. If the work is getting to you to the point where you would do physical harm to others you need to get some serious mental help. Assholes or not the fact that you give these people that kind of power and control over your mental well being is only your own doing. Get some help and get back on your meds.

I'm sorry you are having a tough time, but I'd like to echo what ArcDevilz said. Failure to take prescribed meds that you have been taking regularly can make your emotions more volatile than they were before. I would not go to work in this condition and would seek help from a qualified therapist / mental health professional immediately.

You don't want a short term blow-up to define you long term.

I'm sorry to hear of your situation Wayne. Hopefully that will calm soon.

I've actually got a laser gig on the 8th and have a commitment on the 9th March. The 29th/30th is better for me, it's Easter then tho, so I'm not sure how that suits others.

I've got a couple of builds to finish by April, so it's all back on for me after a lengthy break from PL. I've finally got my employment situation sorted after a very volatile year (job market) last year. So expect to see me around here a bit more
