Loosing 1/3 the stadium lights with little to no visible safety backup systems was not good. What were they thinking...
Should have had some on spinning reserve (generator) or some tungsten.

Very, very, few. There are literally hundreds of stations available either through cable, satellite or fibre optic service which you pay through the nose for on a monthly basis anyway but, you still get commercials on nearly every channel. I "could" be wrong but, even the BBC feeds we get here might have commerical breaks! Some stations still broadcast over the air but, we went through a revamping of the system a few years ago which made many older televisions obsolete unless you purchased a special receiver. Funny thing is how often there is nothing really of interest to watch. I watched an old Disney/Pixar movie last night (Ratatouille) because there was nothing on and, they even put commericals in that. (Pauses for snide comments...o.k.,o.k., I'm a loser, allright? LOL)
According to our news service yesterday, 'some officials' had warned of the possibility of the electrical supply system not coping. Something to do with old/worn cable I believe.
Our commentators did say that electrician who sorted it should've got MVP

You are using Bonetti's defense against me, ah?
I thought it fitting, considering the rocky terrain.
It will be a while before what actually happened gets told.
I've not heard a explanation that sounds correct yet.
Love the LED guys claiming this would not happen with LEDs though.
I'd like to see a LED array that can replace a 2 KW metal halide.
Also, why did they not go with hot restrike halide...
Probably cost!
