That was a very nicely done projection mapping show, one of the few applications where I feel that projection mapping was used tastefully to enhance the show, as opposed to show off the projection mapping technology.

Also, the color palettes that they used were very interesting, I wonder if it is a result of using funny colored OPSL/dye/etc lasers instead of our normal ~640/532nm/~450nm, or if they just chose them because they were the correct colors for the show.

PS-it is very weird hearing disney songs in other languages

This is incredible because this "big" show with fireworks is performed EACH EVENING when the park is open

I am thinking OPSL. I just can't picture Disney wanting to mess around with stacked beams from a big 640 and 450. Plus they have the $$$ to afford OPSLs with a service contract from Coherent. I am also wondering if they used several projectors of if they were fiber launched. Really neat show. As much as I hate the corporate greed that is Disney, their Imagineers really know how to create a show. There have been very very few park shows that I didn't like. Too bad the wind was a little strong for that particular video but such is life for an outdoor show. Very cool.

    Thanks for sharing!

Disney is always on top of the most current/ahead of everyone else's time on special effects. This, unfortunately is the future of laser entertainment. Sharpy/5R beam heads and new advances will replace laser beams for their full color, brightness and ability to scan the audience. Full-wall projection eliminates the need to have a laser company outline a 'fork' when you already have one, including the candle and other non-vector imagery to adequately impress your audience. Sad but true from a professional laser business owner's perspective.... unless we roll with the new tech, just enjoy the show!

Someone knows the company who created the show?

The needed skills are high to manage all the different areas (lasers / videoprojection / pyrotechnic / water show)

Yep, I agree, MIIKKKLLLL, so Disney hires various companies and loads the show into multiple playback systems for years of replay. They also get trained on the equipment so they can modify at will. They've been doing this for years, so getting into the groove, as an outsider is difficult. It would be cool to see how all of this stuff works, though!

The show was carried out by a 'European' laser company. ...and if you haven't guessed by that big clue, it is Laser Systems Europe.

LSE use lots of high quality OPSL projectors.

I'm not at all convinced by that. Even if you can collimate non coherent sources down to laser like beams in the future, they'll still pose a danger, albeit not one as great as a coherent source.

Those really large multi-million candlepower hand held spot lights can damage eyes, as can some of the small handheld cree based torches. I caught some back reflection from my 1,000 lumen LED torch and suffered retinal retention images in the form of black gaps in my vision for nearly 5 mins. Literally burn images not those usual purple hazes you get. Luckily no retinal damage done (I had them checked). However, it kills the assumption that non coherent sources are safe. They are safer... Make them bright enough and tight enough and I believe you still have something that carries enough energy to potentially heat eyes, at least at shorter distances anyway.
