I need to pay some bills, so the spare parts drawer is getting emptied
These are Portescap Escap 26BC 6A 110s. I have three of them in tested, excellent condition, removed from lightly used medical gear.
These can very from a few RPM to 9600 rpm by varying the applied voltage to the coil from 2.5 volts to 15 volts. They draw about 80 mA when running no load.
They need 5V at 20 mA for the control logic. If your not using the control logic, then you can run them from 5 volts minimum to 15 volts maximum by tying the control line to the power line.
Why are these special? Well.... The brushless driver inside has a pulse per rev output, a enable input, and a direction input. This makes it very easy to "phase lock" the speed of these to a abstract with some simple electronics.
They will run with just power connections, as the inputs have pull up resistors.
If you dont need the phase lock, you can run them open loop, as is, and get a very high quality, very fast, VERY QUIET motor for LENTICULAR lumia and LISSAJOUS grating effects. If you have two gratings on two motors and the beam passes through in series, some very cool effects happen.
One other special thing. The thick shafts and tight bearings are rated for one heck of a amount of side load, yet only supposed to move radially say 40 microns, so these are great for those brutal spinning disks.
35$ + SHIPPING FOR ALL THREE. Go price one on Ebay, and see they are 40-80$ a motor for similar sizes. If you need spindles to hold a disk, I can lathe them at the cost of the brass.
