How do you plan on resolving this sale with me? Have not heard anything regarding if the ebay seller is working with you or not.

I'm resolving it today. Vendor is co-operating. I've shipped the dead ones back. I need to walk her through the test procedure.
For various reasons having to do with the Federal Sequester and other issues beyond my control, I suddenly have time on my hands.

i want the acknowledge that fantastic job mixedgas did on this. he went way beyond the effort normally necessary in a group buy. his communication was excellent and carried through with prompt shipping and excellent packaging.

    thank you steve.
suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

Great , as long as the person on eBay is helping resolve this than it should be fine.
    Thanks Steve....

    Galvo news for Saturday,

Some good news, and some interesting news:

I opened up a dead one before returning it. These have quad opposed photodiodes in the base for enhanced accuracy position sensing. They shoot across both sides of the position sensor flag. It will wire in and act just like the normal part with two photodiodes. This is a high quality part, I suspect it was used for medical imaging or really high end printing.

I did connect one with a amp. I turned on the power, saw it nicely center to zero, and quit for the evening. I need to set the scale factor potentiometer on the amp for this galvo type. This is easy to do, but I have family visiting this week end.

The mirror mount screws were probably locked down with a calibrated torque wrench and have red Loktite or similar on them. They are difficult to remove with a normal flimsy Allen wrench. One probably needs to use a Allen with a 1/4" hex base and a socket wrench. I just ruined a low cost Allen trying to remove a mount. This did not even scratch the grade 8 Stainless Allen screw. I'd suggest carefully Clamping the mount in a vise with the galvo hanging free before removing.

I'll scan in the connector pin out this evening. It is the same as a stock 6800. I'll also scan in the parts chart for the position sensor parts values. It uses the same resistor values as a 6800, however there is a optional hi-res set of values for these.

Arcdevilz, I just sent them the galvo coil and bearing tester. This should get finished up now. Plus their future customers will get tested galvos, not the lottery.
You have a PM with a further explanation.

    Mea Culpa,
