    Default The 'Case' Thread

    Hello All!

Is there any company that sells double decker type case? i.e Bottom half is the electronics and top half is a dust sealed optical deck sandwiched between a large thin heatsink the ones similar to Arctos type housing ,

Im having a hard time finding a large heatsink here to build my own double decker.

Anybody has any info's? would be great!

    Cheers!

You could just use large stand-offs between the original base plate and then fabricate a second deck...

    Good luck!

Do you really have to have the separate compartments?
Goldenstar do the G case which is 2 separate decks, but it ain't on stilts. Is this a design aesthetic thing, or for some engineering reason?
Drop Winni a PM anyway, she sent me a picture of a serious double decker case last year but I've never seen it on the website. It was for a big 10w+ projector I think and had heat sink in the middle

You are using Bonetti's defense against me, ah?

I thought it fitting, considering the rocky terrain.

    Hello Norty ,
No no nothing to do with the engineering, just a pleasing looks that my mind is craving for.
I just love the design & looks of it that's all, ill ask Winni later.
Do you have the picture of the case? I would love to see that.

    Cheers!

Why not consider how RGBLaserSystems does it?

Heatsink/fans on top, lasers/optics mounted underneath the heatsink (in a sealed chamber), ~1/4"divider plate, then lower enclosure contain the electronics.
