    Default Cooling

Anyone got any tips for cooling??

this is my current setup, this is only temp. Ive got another box, which once ive sorted everything and got my dac im going to put it in.

I was thinking of resting a heat sink on top of my laser as its getting a little warm. I have a fan on top as you can see, cooling the laser psu and scanner amp. I was thinking of getting two computer fans 240v and blowing one towards the heat sink on the laser and the other on the other side of the box, sucking air out.

im also going to put a few more air holes in the box

    What do you guys think???

computer fans at 240V?, that sounds risky

I would go for the holes and fans, but remember, dust may be a problem. Perhaps some filtering also would be good
Remember the future?, That'd today, as you imagined it yesterday.

the laser is TEC controlled, so it does not need any more cooling...
But the PSU of laser and AMPS maybe need "some" cooling.. not much tho...

I use 2x 12volt computer fan to cool down my RGB laser that is double size of yours..
And that have never been a problem... Dust is not any problem, as the laser dont stay "on" so long period of time..

Just use comressed air and remove dust somethimes

no my laser is not TEC controlled - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/532nm-100mW-DP...QQcmdZViewItem

well i was thinking of using the 12v output on the psu supplied with the 15k scanners. but that means the scanners have to be on for the fans to be on. if i use 240v i can turn the fans on without the scanners having to be on.
