That's the about the size of the Memphis coliseum ball . Saw ZZTop there in the 70s. 1st laser show I ever saw. That's where I caught the bug. It was Awesome. Big very powerful gas-ion rig . Probably was one of you guys here who put on that show .
Pink Floyd had a massive mirror ball that opened into multiple pieces, upper and lower petal-shaped pieces that folded back. I believe that this was part of the Division Bell tour in 1994, but I missed seeing it when the concert was cancelled early - thunderstorms, rain and outdoor concerts don't mix well...

I seem to recall seeing that live. I also think it's on their DVD "Pulse" but I could be wrong. If I follow through on bringing the mirror balls to SELEM, my big one isn't "quite" as big as above but... it's a lot bigger than you see most places. It's a 24inch. The other 4 are all 12".
