I'll quietly put it out there that I pointed out to buffo that CarribLEM was a week... therefore hoops "could" perhaps be jumped through to make load in for SELEM Wednesday. Jus' sayin'

And yes, I already made my hotel reservations with HIE for next year - including Sunday night.

(Trying to get some video up but, work has been in the way.)

You'd be correct, but with any luck it will be replaced by next SELEM.

Wow! SELEM was incredible this year- I mean, it was literally an adventure!

Big thanks to Buffo for heading up the event again, Mario for bringing an arsenal of EAW/Mackie speakers/DJ gear, DZ for setting up the classiest auditorium arrangement I've seen at SELEM, rgb-gas for bringing the infrastructure that made Club SELEM possible, and everyone else that came out with their big guns, towing trailers and/or stuffing their cars to the max to pitch in effort and gear to make SELEM was it was this year.

Some other highlights for me were swamidog's LSX shows, Bill Benner's laser show selection, showing my friend laserlackey what it's like to get 'into the beams' up on the balcony, seeing all the hard-core geekery going on in the BST/ion rooms, and just catching up with my laser-fam!

I'm going to have to fast-track NWLEM 'cause I'm going to be jonesing real fast after SELEM this year.

If you're referring to the two photos above, that's my lumia setup. It's something I came up with back in Oregon in early April with the help of a friend of mine who blows glass. I'll PM you some details about how it works, so as to avoid inspiring our friends in China too early.

I'm really sorry that I missed this year. It looks like you guys had a phenomenal setup. It has been way too long since I have seen all the familiar faces.

suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

    Another great SELEM!

Thanks to all that hauled out the gear and made this happen. It was great seeing all the old and some of the new faces too.

Finally made it back to TX through multiple detours in AL, a bad car fire in TX (not mine) and lots of "road work ahead".

This was my first SELEM, and I want to thank everyone who made me feel like I belong from the get-go. I only have the one mobolazer at the moment, so thanks for letting me be front and center in the club, it is an honor I don't take lightly. Many thanks to the organizers of the event and for getting such a badass collection of lasers and laserists in one place. I couldn't imagine the cost (from a consumer standpoint) of getting all the equipment together as a laser show, as far as I'm concerned, this event trumps every laser show I've seen to date (and am likely to see) for much time to come (at least until next year's LEM).

The addiction has taken hold . Now, where did I leave my checkbook?

you put a jet engine in a vw bug.

that was a very nice bit of kit you put together.

Trying to get video up but this is taking F O R E V E R. Getting from my video camera to the computer to the conversion process, to successfully upload, to being approved and viewable is taking like an hour per minute. It's NOT intuitive.
