Hi Aidan; (Long time no see!)

That video is pretty popular; I've got a copy of the same video clip sitting on my hard drive, and it's one of my favorites as well. The effects you see aren't really anything out of the ordinary. Any controller and RGB projector could re-create that. And it looks like it's only TTL color, rather than analog. (Hard to be certain though - it could just be an artifact of the video compression, but it sure looks like there are only 7 colors...)

The one hard part about putting a show like that together is, well, putting a show like that together. Someone spent a lot of time hunched over their computer editing that. (And no doubt hitting the "play" button and watching the effect, then going back and adjusting the timing ever so slightly and trying it again...) It's a tedious process, but the end result is a thing of beauty.

I don't know what it is, but if anyone figures it out, please post it here. I think that would be a disc worth buying.

I emailed the creater a year or so back, the laser used was a Spectra Physics Chroma 5 and he said the music was something he / his company made.

Ill try contacting them again, I to love that music.

Hey Fluff,
Count me in on the 12th as well, will probably be bringing a friend. Unfortunatly won't be bringing anything, as I've still to construct mine yet. So want to use this opportunity to see how you guys have done things, and pick a few brains.
Hopefully I'll get around to seeing your laser at Synergy in Rotherham as well before then!

Good to know you'll be at the meet, looks like it will be a good turnout.

I think we need to get a roll call going, just to see who's actually coming.

I will have a pile of diodes optics cases and electronics to sell off , new and used, and I'm sure some of the other guys will be looking to trade and sell surplus bits . A bring and buy sale !

As regards an itinery ,I have PMd BUFFO who has experience of these events
in the states , i am sure we all wnt this to be a relaxed event but an itinery
may help the day flow or people to pop along for certain things , and also fluffs indicated an intrest in an itinary , i will post one soon for eveyrone to change and dismiss :- )

Fluff.... where is the venue that we are having the meet .... i think you said it wasnt at the pub ?

are there any close by hotels that you could reccomend

although im in and out of the country over the next few weeks i have put a ring around 12th of August so i shoulld deffo be there.

unfortunately because im in the process of moving abroad ... all my laser kit is going into storage ready for shipping so i wont be able to bring anything ( apart from me .... myself and I )
