    Guys
Having Pmd and replied by buffo who has experience in these things it seems they didnt have any formal plan for the day , it was just case of each person playing around with their kit as the day went on , although when bill benner turned up they did get down to some serious tech issues that helped them all like galvo tuning ! Sadly we dont have Bill but we do have our own internationally reknowned expert !! James Stewart ! of laser visuals who is an international safety expert on lasers and also i think was a board member of the ILDA for a while so maybe he can be enticed to offer some knowledge out to some of us who need it !

HERES Some subjects maybe if anyone wants they could offer to do ten minute talk on one of the subjects to help the day flow .... PM me and i will add you to intinary along with the time of day you will be around .

You mean like the time I bludgeoned a scottish geezer to death with a 5mW pointer It was hard work , but worth it

    BUMP

Just keeping it live guys ,and a little update ... no-ones volunteered to cover any subjects so theres no agenda/itinary for the day ... we will just have to wing it eh !
Also i think its became 50/50 wether james stewart from laser visuals will attend so numbers might be 1 less.

So whats the script guys in terms of times ? what are you folks thinking in terms of times , is everyone cleared the day and going for the whole day ? are many planning for evening or afternoon only? or are you all looking forward to full days laser feast ? what do you want if anything to get out of the day ? have any of you ever sat down for a whole days projecting before ? all i ever seem to manage is the odd hour , although i must admit to having had loads of software/kit problems that always seem to divert me from projecting to fiddling !

Anyways not long to go now

Im up for the full day and heck i just wanna run lasers as much as possible and look at everyones kit. Im looking forward to seeing how others have done stuff and seeing how many watts of light you can fill a room with
My numbers may also be up - a pal of mine - another one - wants to come along. He will be welcome as far as im concerned but i dont know if i can fit 3 people and all my gear in my car.
Anyway the top and bottom of it is that I am likeley to have me +2 attending for the full day. We will leave home early with a view to landing at the venue (or general area of) close to 10am.
Lasing will beging as soon as I can get set up
I have started compiling a list of gear to bring with me so hopefully I wont get there and say 'oh bugger ive forgotton me laser'

see ya'll there on the 12th

    Hi

I'm with Rob, I want to see how others have built their lasers and see if I am able to improve on anything that i've done.

I hope that someone will be there with a Pangolin QM2000.net system and the Pangolin software (Inc LivePro). If possible I would like to hook this up to my system to see how it performs. I too am looking forward to a whole load of lasers all been fired up at once

It will be a great shame if James Stewart cannot make it. Having been on the LaserVisuals course I feel that everyone would benefit to some degree by James being there. I'm sure that it would be an ideal recruiting ground for the safety course as well - Come on James, I know what you're thinking, but hey, give it a go How about bringing the scansafe software along???

I too will probably have a pal with me, Craig (AKA Wiring Monkey on this forum), to whom I am forever indebted for providing his skills in wiring my projector to ensure it's safe.

    See you all there.

    Cheers

    Jem

    Hi Jem,

Well I was aiming to bring my PC with Pangolin Intro card in it, along with LivePro. I also have a laptop with LivePro on it that can network (wired or wireless) to the PC. I will probably bring my small green DPSS with scanners, but it's nothing special, so you're more than welcome to use my Pangolin system on your laser instead.

I'll not be bringing my gas laser, 'cos I know what Fluffs place is like and I don't fancy breaking my poor back, or having to hire a van to get it all there.

I will bring a plenty of 13/16A mains extensions and stuff too, along with one or possibly two other folks.

    Regards,
    Neil

    Hi Paul and Jem,

Currently it's looking like I may still be able to make the second half of the meet. Due to work commitments I won't be in the area until later on the Sunday. Believe me, if it's possible for me to get there, I'd like to make it. It is always nice to meet with people old and new, especially in the surroundings of dozens of lasers.

Paul, look forward to seeing you also next monday on the safety course too. Have a good journey down.

    Cheers,

    James
