Ahhhh... But..... There's a problem with building laser projectors.... I set off with good intentions to 'do a bit more', BUT, then I think to myself that i'll just power it up one last time before I disconnect everything and start to put the permanent wiring in. At that point it's all over for yet another night

Still, there's a bit of time between now and then.

Rob, Looking forward to seeing you, Pit8ull and Andy + others again. Particularly looking forward to seeing your whitelight

    Cheers

Funnily enough I know exactly what you mean - its so easy to get carried away.

So what stage is the projector at and what have you to do?

    Hi Rob

Well, Everything is mounted and fastened in the case. I have it part wired and just need to cut the holes for the plugs etc., in the back panel. I also need to cut an aperture in the front panel, oh, and mount a couple of fans 'just in case'.

I then need to get some safety gear in there, shutter, scanfail device etc.

BTW, what sort of camera lens filter did you use for the aperture on yours, was it a UV filter?

    Cheers

no it was a regular skylight but i see no reason why uv would be any worse. If you can get one with the specs then you will see how good the ar coating is. Hoya is a brand I have used for camera lens filters and they are very well priced.

I look forward to seeing your handywork in action.

    Rob
