    Default Leap motion

A friend pointed me towards this product... does anyone have experience with it?

    https://www.leapmotion.com/

The applications for lasershows are plenty. I'm tempted to get it and see what LSX can do with it.
Does anyone have it? Is it really as accurate as they say? Thoughts?

suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

    Who wouldn't ;D
It's cheaper than a touch screen and has more possibilities... VERY tempted...

That does look pretty awesome, just hope it is not limited to the apps in their own store!

The website mentions they provide an SDK in the most common languages. You could always write your own.

I hope there will be some good free apps to handle data output. It would be nice to have MIDI and OSC output. Maybe even direct LSX support?

Taggalucci has seen one recently at a developers conference. Hopefully he will chime in with what he found out.

We've got one, though I've not yet used it personally.

I can borrow it and report back

Kinect operates in a room with full body motion sensing. Leap motion sits on your desk and detects hand gestures. So similar concept but on a smaller scale with sub-millimiter accuracy.

Tested one last day, it's working surprisingly well ! Amazing to have all my 10 fingers being accurately tracked by the sensor and displayed on the screen with a very high frame rate.

A friend of mine is setting up its own corporate which will use these sensors to build an interactive table. Looking promising
