If you're the smartest person in the room, then you're in the wrong room.
I doubt it. I think they are trying to keep interest in this product alive during this long hiatus in any updates. They may make some announcements, demo the existing hardware and there may be a driver board, but I'll bet there will be some time before they start fulfilling orders. I have no insider information, this is just a prediction based on the progress so far.
Hi guys,
As far as I am concerned, Saturn 5 has already launched and in fact, we are readying Saturn 3 for the Launch Pad right now. Anyone who came to our booth at Prolight & Sound would have seen Saturn 5 running in projectors and also sitting on our display shelf. We delivered initial samples to early adopters and also lined up some more at the tradeshow.
What we can't offer right now is a driver for these scanners. We're working on something really special, and so it means the prime candidates for these scanners are OEM companies who already make their own amps. Those are the early adopters... But we're seeing really good performance and there has certainly been strong interest on the part of end-users, so I think it would be a good idea to setup at least one of these OEMs to effectively be the reseller of Saturn scanners with their own amps, until our amps are ready too.
