Default DIY RGB - Good quality 2W green 532nm module ?

    Hi there,

I'm working on a new project of mine with :

    - 1.5W 637nm
    - 3w 445nm
    - 2W 532nm
    - Terascan

And for this, I'm looking for a good quality, and small, green laser module.

I was thinking of a CNI 2W, but the power suply is so big ...

    Any idea?

    Yours,

I'd pick http://www.lasever.com/ over CNI now since the greens all seem to have massive power supplys now. It's like CNI went down a step even the PCB traces have been soldered over to get more power out of a bad new? design. Can also request from them low divergence versions. It is hard to beat the $500-630 CNI charges for the 1 watters that kick out 1.3++

    Hi!
CNI OEM-F- 2W with an Picodrive (size <100x80x40mm) will be the best choice...
We have that also on stock.
    Bests,

I would personally go with the Laserwave or CNI options, using the newer smaller drivers from CNI in their case. Laserwave have always had reasonably sized drivers in my experience.

You are using Bonetti's defense against me, ah?

I thought it fitting, considering the rocky terrain.

Okay, so to start, who has experience with OEM-F serie from CNI, or LaserWave OEM green serie ?

Both goes around the same price, hard to chose

Takes a little bit more space, but recently purchased a couple of dhom 1w's doing ~1.6 - 1.7 watts each and combined via pbs. Getting a bit over 3W after the cube with about 5% loss from the mirror (to be replaced) and optimal polarization not completely dialed in yet. An amazing bargain at $700 for the 2 lasers, plus $50 for the cube and mount, but a bit more work. Divergence is a bit high, but nothing a 1.5-2x telescope wouldn't fix. Still in the works, so not sure about the total cost telescoped.

    Hey Badger,

Do you know if many of the laserwave 2w's are coming in a hair under 3w ? or is it more luck of the draw ?

i think its luck , but from what i hear they are all over 2.5w , one thing to note with them is they are better suited for builds on fan cooled base plates as neither the driver or head have any fans on them
