Great work Swami! You have a way of combining cues perfectly.

I'm so glad that you, CMB and others recommended LSX and for all the advise in the PL chatroom. I can't thank you enough!

I think you may have created a monster - last night I had multiple dreams of laser abstracts projected in a dome

2 sets of DTR's single mode diode bundles arrived this morning, so my first components for my builds have arrived. I can't wait to get these abstracts scanning!

    Default Another New Show

    Thoroughly enjoying learning LSX!

This is my latest attempt. As always, I don't know if all of this scans. I imagine one cue will struggle, you'll know which one!

This track is beautiful - it took me a day of listening to music to choose it, but it made designing this show an absolute pleasure.

    Hope you like it!

Very nice. The dark gradients look good, and the thing with the cube-like shapes that ended around 2:40 was brain-bending stuff, as was the thing with the toroid-like shape in the last moments. I think the effects that break from obvious centrality are the most effective. They seem to defy the way vector drawing works.

Btw, does LSX run on W98? Anyone know? I really hope it can. (There's a think called KernelEx that might make it happen, but I have no clue, when I tried to look up software requirements I didn't find anything at all.)

I've started the process or unleashing a bigger monster, surprise coming just before New Years.

Too bad you guys have not learned four fold symmetry like the old 4 head systems....

suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

Thanks Doc! I'm learning slowly but surely.

I agree with you about the off-centre effects. I am mixing things up a bit as really, all these shows are more about me learning the software and what works and what doesn't, then I'll start again once I start projecting in a dome!

I'm not sure about LSX and W98. I seem to think I read it somewhere but can't find it at the mo. I expect someone else will be able to help you with that.

You're welcome. Credit where credit's due, etc.. You and Swami have started something that will change things, I think. How much of these methods are amenable to realtime performance? That might be the greatest scope for endurance, something like visual music. Anyway, if I can run LSX on W98 then I'll use it. Using LSX might be like discovering synthesisers. It also reminds of the Psychedelic Screensaver, which was a very cool bit of software.

There is a "Plug-in" inbound for LSX.
