    nope. it's all done post aperture. no modifications to the projector.

    I vote fish-tank / bowl + food-grade mineral-oil.. or water / tiny-amount of particulate...

    It definitely IS NOT a pilsner glass. I tried that last night.

    Maybe a glass tube where you project down the length... the center stays the same but it effects the outside of pattern. The edges remind me of a half cylindrical lens effect. Maybe a lens with a hold drilled in the middle.
