Default Beyond V1.8 and build 548 timeline question

    Greets

I have a timeline show running just the way it should within timeline in Beyond, going to the correct zones etc, but when I drag the show to a blank cue on the show page and run the show from there, it ignores the zone routing and plays from the centre projector only? If it works fine from the timeline then why would it not when dragged to a cue?

    Any ideas anyone please.

    Mike

    Hi Mike

It would br great if you could post the solution that Aaron gave you then others could benefit from the answer.

If it's a matter of sensitive/confidential information please ignore the above

When you have opened a previously created show from QS for example into the timeline in Beyond and before saving it to a blank cue you must right click on each track and under the tab Zones, select the option to prevent Beyond from re routing to other zones. Once this has been done it appears to work great, although myself and Rob Stanley too has also found that some animation/sequences do not move at the correct speed for some reason as they did when run in QS. If anyone else has found this let us know.

If anyone has also had trouble in working out how to save the the show created in the timeline section to a cue this is hows its done. Open up the workspace tab at the bottom of the screen and select from the list on the left the shows page then drag the tittle tab off the timeline of the show in question to a blank cue.

    Hope this helps.

You can also select the cue and from the file menu use 'save show to current cue'
It then flashes the cue and asks for confirmation.

    Going back to Jems Question....
On the more recent builds of Beyond - certainly 540 and up, there is a control in the configuration that helps with show and capture routing.
click - settings > configuration > and tuning tab
check the box marked 'allow cue zones selection to be empty'
Then when you have a cue thats a show or a capture you can remove the zone definitions from the cue properties allowing the cue to use the routing defined within the show.
The converse of this is that when you select a zone in the cue properties it will override the show or capture defs allowing you to output into a single zone if thats all you have defined in any particular instance.
