    Default 2w 638nm build

another build ive been working on (yes im working on shit loads of stuff at the moment)

it uses 4x 500mw 638 diodes, it gives a final beam of 3.5mm by 3.5mm @ around 1.2mR so pretty good

i just been to re machine the base plate and combine the two sets and job done

My mind went blank Why didn't you combine the beams before (in front of) telescope?

there not telescopics, they are cylindrical lens to correct the multi mode beam

they are "x-axis" telescopic, no? The only difference is that the axis "y" is not corrected

just curious why you always use mirrors to knife edge and never the prisms that come to a nice point. I have found the beams can be tighter that way as the thickness of the mirror doesnt come into play.

EDIT in this case I see your stacking so it wouldnt matter, but curious about the choice in other builds now i guess
