Wow that is small for RGB module!

if you're on the fence about those three diode bundles, i'm wrapping up a new projector based on DTR's kit (this is a group project with laserwizardry, spec, spitzstp, and myself).

i have never seen such awesome color modulation and linearity outside of gas with pcaom. tiny sharp beams, i see lots of detail that my 3W system can't display, and it's plenty bright for a small dim room.

some low quality cell phone video

i highly recommend picking up a bundle if you're looking to build a high quality, low power projector for home or show programming.
suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

Can you explain what you modded on the driver?

i didn't mod anything on the driver. those diodes have excellent modulation characteristics.

Well, I have to say firing up my first green diode was really exciting!!! I have been grinding on this rgb combiner for the last couple of days now. This thing works great. The first alignment took about 2 minutes. the near field overlap is just a little off. Not bad, maybe .25mm. It is aprox. 1x1x2 inches. Here are some pics of the progress so far.

Is indeed. Also, that photo has a contrast and dynamic range that shows more accurately than any I've seen yet, the quality of that green in context. It's actually great, not as cyanish as I thought it might be. Maybe that's partly due to 445nm being shorter wave, strengthening the apparent green-ness, but it looks like a good match. I'll still hold out for longer wave green, but I could live with that. And I like that business with the mirrors on a single block.

    That's looking pretty interesting!
I can really relate, I'd be grinding away for hours! like nuts!

sorry but I just had to share with you what I said in chat:
[22:58] <+LaserCo> look at this rgb, if shit hit the fan and there was no power etc.. you could cut down a tree with this RGB! http://www.photonlexicon.com/forums/...011#post273011

I'm assuming you steer the diode mount around a little with the two screws.. great idea!
The slot is for a screwdriver?
