    Jon,

You are THE man! That is very creative, I love it. I didn't handle the shirts last year and wont be handling them this year, though I'm sure this is way too complex to embroider. Regardless, my vote is that we have this design printed on the back of the shirt. That design is just way to cool not to use in some way. Maybe just a simple "SELEM" on the front with this on the back. Nice work, Jon, I'm very impressed.

..(yeah, yeah, I know - there's 'creative liberties taken' with some of the paths, 50/50'd beams just 'stopping' in mid air, etc, etc, but.. this isn't *actually*, an optical table, so, cut me some slack, will ya?

...Sir Dave - you think these are too-complex for the sewing machina? I'm thinkin they might be (all the 'fine detail'..) I probably could 'beef-up' all the optics lines, etc, and still 'get the concept' across.. Lemme know yer thoughts.. I've got another batch of art to-do, soon; I could make some 'tweeks' / re-post.. ..That is, if these don't make everyone barf. - ALSO - these are *'low-res* art - I've got much-higher res I can send, if one of these got chosed, and were desired in 'sewing-res'...

Now I gotta go program my brains out, all nite >_< , so...
    fwiw..

Myeah, that's kinda what I was thinkin, this am.. Prolly even with 'thicker' lines, etc.. Well, *if* it's desired, for either-side, might at least check out / give consideration to 'Spreadshirt' http://www.spreadshirt.com/design-your-own-t-shirt-C59 - they have a great '4-color process', that we used with great-success for the 'SoCaLEM' shirts -

ID:	38624 ..though they were T's (..but, I'd imagine that they could work with a 'smooth' cotton Polo.. doubt the nice 'textured' ones, tho, so...) And the 'process' was nice, as you can upload your art / move around on the shirt / crop / scale, etc, then send for Print.. Pretty-smooth process with them, all around. Though, iirc, somebody, somewhere, 'involved' in all this, gives the group a mondo-discount, on the embroidered Polos, ya? So.. dunno how 'Spreadshirt' pricing would-compare.. We found it to be pretty 'comfortable', $$-wise, and the artwork has lasted-well thru washes, etc... Of course, not nearly as nice as embroidering, but.. Again, 'fwiw'..

...well, off to the salt mines. Thanks, Sir D..

Believe it or not, that design can be done in embroidery. The only limit is the number of colors (which is 12), and the size, which is around 4 inches square.

I agree that it would probably look better as a screenprint than embroidery though.

Now we've got some serious contenders!
    Keep them coming.

    Adam,
Who is purchasing and getting the shirts embroidered? I ask so I know when to set the dead line for ideas.

I will set up a vote well before so we can select a winner.

    Greg;

I *love* the Dark Side of the Moon design! Barring any more entries, I think we've got a winner!

I'm handling that, and we need to have the design finalized no later than July 24th.

ID:	38675 ..nested-text suggestions, and a slight color-tweek suggestion for the '7', to-delineate just a tad...

Thoughts - or buzzers - are welcome... Oh, ps - Also, these are 'lo-res' / not-ideal as 'final art'.. Happy to re-do, in sewing-res, if it becomes of interest / helps.. Can-also supply the font / vectors .eps for others' mix-n-matching..
