'...A-TARI TEEN-AGE RIOT!!!'Indeed, very cool, and especially with The Man..
I see your very-cool real-time position-sensing / laser-driving project, and raise you one:
..Yay, Etherdream!!
...I believe this is same group that did that 'laser forest' project.. looks like the 'ultimate day-job'... And - OMG, I seriously think I would sell an internal-organ to get one / a pair of those 'Pikos', mmm-mmm, Good!!! Wow, they are sexy little pups.. Just a shame that RTi got 'eaten' by LW, so.. who-knows what's *really* inside the boxes, now...
(hairballs in fans / old toothpaste, holding optics-on / markered-out power recycled laser-modules, etc..) Just kiddin, we all know dat deep down, we weally wuv Waserwoowd... not.
cheers, W..

....and armed only with his trusty 21 Zorgawatt KTiOPO4...
Jon,
The Marshmallow laser feast guys are really pushing things at the moment. And what's really great is to to see the art form taking big steps forward through whole new approach. I spent some time with them last month and was impressed at how they combine artistic skills with the fantastic technical abilities they have also.
I'm sure there is plenty more to come from these guys!

Could you guys give a little more background on this and these people as the crew here is getting pretty board with the usual thing. No offense "Bill", but I have been seriously thinking about "moving on". This interface and the "casual" artistry is compelling. Just the physics component is completely new to me. After my older son saw this he reminded me that he had asked P. a couple of years ago if they had thought about incorporating physics and simple object interaction into B... there was no reply.
If you're in for a challenge... you could try to do so yourself in a software environment that lets you use custom math. It's what I'm trying to do when I find some spare time from studying actual physics :P
I can't wait to play around with a real time movement interface such as the LoopMotion controller, I have plenty of ideas.
Jon's vid is really cool, and a true inspiration.
