It took 2 of us to fix this problem!

Ok so we bought five 2w greens from Lasever. The first two I bought seemed ok testing power levels. Those were put back in the boxes waiting for the rest of the projector parts to arrive. Slicklasers got three more and we tried testing them. They turned on and within a second or two they started blinking and then faded out....faded back in and did the blinking thing again. WTF???? So I thought I better retest mine. Same thing. Blink blink blink and fade out and back in.

So.... they are all going to have to go back to China. Shit...

Then between me and Rick we fixed them. Can anyone figure this one out?

I know the answer, but I cheated. I asked Phredy on FB. I wouldn't have guessed this one, but Carlos is on the right track.

You hooked up modulation to power input and power to modulation input?

They were setup for 50Hz input power instead of 60Hz input power? So you had to flip a switch on the back of the PSU to change it to 60Hz.

I don't know about all of you guys, but if I was selling someone thousands of dollars worth of electronics, I would make sure it set to the correct voltage.... But I guess I might be the only one cause they didn't flip that little switch. It was really wierd because 2 of the had no problem working with the switch set to 230V... Strange...
