Dear Venus II users.

I'd like to ask a bit of advice.
I have 2 Venus II and one since was purchased had a problem with white colour (little bit green white) and timing of modulation. See film link below, this one on the left:

This unit was barely used but couple days ago I discovered that the power modulation of blue diode is missing. Trying to look into and discover another thing, one red diode have the same problem. See picture below :

After swapping out power modulation driver board from the second Venus II blue diode working good but red diode still not.
Seams to be problem with red diode and power modulation driver board. Now my question. Is problem with red diode could cause delayed timing of modulation saw on film or power modulation driver board ?

Hi maton,

I have the feeling that your red diode on the left is dead .

You should also check the "bias" on each color channel and the linearity potentiometer if there is one on the drivers.

Is the projectors daisychained in your setup? If not, and you use different DAC`s for each projector, it might be the setup in the software.
In the video, it almost looks like one is set to TTL while the other is set to Analog.

Just a thought though.

Probably You are right, red diode doesn't working with good driver.
Unfortunately don't have experience with adjusting the bad driver, so trying find out which part send back to lightspace, projector still have warranty.

Yes, the projectors are daisy chained. It is not a problem of software settings.

Are you actually managing to get 22 watts into the same size Venus II case or is this just the same style with a larger box? If you're getting it to squeeze into the same size case, that's just simply amazing.

I may have answered my own question after looking at the dimensions on the web site. The 22 watt is actually the "Venus" not the "Venus II" series, correct?
