    Talking Happy 4th July

I would just like to wish all our friends over the pond a happy 4th July Independence Day

Whatever you are doing today, enjoy doing it and enjoy the holiday.

    Very best wishes

From all of us guys at the other side of the water.

Thanks guys! Unfortunately, instead of enjoying the holiday, I've got to work tonight. (ugh...)

Though with all the rain we've had, it probably wouldn't matter, as the park where they normally shoot the fireworks has a LAKE in the middle of the picnic table area right now. Not exactly a fun place to hang out with the family... (Maybe if people bring floating pool mattresses? That might be an option!)

Hope folks in other states have it better, but here in South Carolina it's going to be a wet 4th of July.

Thanks for the wishes from across the pond & down under!!

Yepper, it's a wet one here in Tennessee, too.
We're planning on watching the "official" Knoxville fireworks from a big boat anyway, so hopefully the standing water won't be a problem.
Although continued rain and low cloud cover would sure put a damper on things...

Good thing there's alcohol on board!

It's our first day in ages without rain being forecast. But now that it's sunny, the humidity has gone nuts. All the rain has been working it's way from where buffo and Stuka are up this way for what seems like weeks. At least we're catching a break.

Happy 4th all! I'm guessing there may be more laser shows than fireworks in the west with the insane high temperatures and droughts recently.

It was wet here, Akron's big city fireworks somehow lost the audio feed at the last minute, but kept running.. The rain co-operated by quitting an hour before the appointed time, and the orchestra played on, soaked. The Chicken Kabobs tasted slightly like lighter fluid.

The big bottle rockets I picked up in Michigan had a severe thrust to weight ratio issue, they achieved perhaps 15-25 feet of unstable flight before the massive charge popped. If they made it off PAD 632.8A at all before doing the CATO. Very few people had personal fireworks this year, unlike the past three.

All in All, a normal Forth. Happy 237th, America.

Tomorrow night the City has a free concert by a big Floyd Tribute band with big DPSS, so should be a interesting night.

    Have a great weekend...
