Hello from Detroit, MI

Hi Folks,

Just wanted to introduce myself in my first post here. Joined looking to learn from different folks with different applications in the laser industry. I currently work for an industrial laser company specializing in high power fiber lasers and have worked with industrial lasers for about 13 years, from CO2 to flash lamp and diode pumped ND:YAG lasers. Mostly cutting, welding, heat treating, cladding and some marking applications.

After being involved with the industrial production environment, I think I would like to go further into the visible spectrum lasers and explore other areas such as displays or spectroscopy. Both fields I find more interesting than just shooting a high amount of power into a piece of steel.

Yes, Polishedball, I do make it out to Grand Rapids, Holland/Zeeland area a couple times a year. Of course, it's always last minute when I find out I'm going anywhere, but I'll be in contact for sure!
