Gotta love electronics in cars! I bought a GM Tech2 deliberately because of an ongoing issue I was having with a previous car I had - the Tech2 cost a small fortune but has been worth the money.. only issue is I'm kinda locked into buying GM's in the future to make it worth the cash..

That said it's been invaluable recently, I've been having an issue with the Alarm system on the car going off for no apparent reason.. Tech2 lets me read the last ten alarms and what triggered them and apparently it's been caused by the "Glass pane break sensor" (The small bit of wire running around the glass on the boot windows) we've had hot weather in the UK recently, a heatwave they are calling it! Apparently the heat can cause small breaks in the conductor to contract thus the circuit is broken. Alarm sounds. etc.
Only way to fix it is to defeat the entire loop.. or buy a new window.. I think not.

Apparently I can re-map using the tech2 if I can find someone who knows how to tweek maps in a true and correct fashion, must admit I've only used it to read data off the car and not write. that thought scares me a little!

Anyway, so if anyone local has a GM variant (Vauxhall, Hummer :P , Saab, etc) and needs diags.. give me a shout!

Who said I was doing 20? It's all engine and header/exhaust noise. Windows down BTW. It's a big (Yank) motor too which helps with noise...

Nope. Naturally aspirated 345 cubes. Running 100 octane fuel and tuned for it. 450ft/lbs of torque.
