Yeah there are loads of these on Youtube.

Here are a couple from professional events where the lasers were obviously eye safe but the cameras died:

..and if you think those looked high powered, take a look at this fashion show, some very innocuous looking fans take down the camera:

Some scary videos there eh! Especially as a lot of gig photography is done with something like a Canon 5D worth a few thousand pounds!!

At the moment have only been facing the camera on a tripod in the same direction as the aperture points, i.e. beams hitting the back of camera and shooting the onward beams from there.

I think at one of the Cali LEMs Csshih got a fairly new and VERY expensive camera damaged- There are some things that can be done to lessen the chances - i will post them when i get more info- maybe i was just lucky up in the balcony at SELEM- used several JVC vid cameras up there and so far Im OK. I will send this to Csshih and get him here to add to this. he does some great pics. ( or he did) I bet he has some good advice.

he says not much can be done-

or maybe its still too soon to talk about it-
there is still some 35mm film out there and a few places to get it processesed and converted into digital or get your own converter that are cheap now.

Prolly could still damage the built -in meters.- --

had a canon 7D fried by a CuBr.

Some sort of error in pangolin safety zone configs - I saw it go down, covered my eyes and my camera. Got to the camera too late!

    Only just seen this.

Thank god you got your eyes covered. Cameras are only money but a CuBr in the eyes is bye bye eyesight. I hate pulsed lasers!
