Default Lasers more powerful than the sun!

So, browsing the internet, killing some time at a festival and I come across this!

Apparently some well known diodes are 2000x more powerful than the sun! Wow. I must be missing something throughout my career and maths severely flawed.

Or whats more disturbing is a DIY video showing people how to build these things!

S**t like this makes more red tape to go through to do a safe laser show, more risk of idiots having these things at gigs and really doing some damage to people or kit.

Good thing the sun isn't as powerful as the M140 otherwise we all would be dead. Man you can really spin anything into news.

It latest news sprinkling dust around your house will keep tigers away.

If that were the case, then the show co putting beams onto the head of the next Doctor Who last night would have vaporised him before he'd even had a chance to play with his sonic screwdriver.

I'd love to know if he was briefed prior to going on stage.

You are using Bonetti's defense against me, ah?

I thought it fitting, considering the rocky terrain.

Yeah but it would have made good tv.

Then they'd have had to had a female Doctor Who

    - I'm all for a bit of Billie Piper in fishnets!

I don't know about you, but I always did find it annoying having to pop balloons with a lighter for no good reason the old fashioned close up way. Now I can pop balloons with a lighter for no good reason from the comfort and safety of a few inches away.
