Default LVR laser training 30 Sept

I've just booked my place on the laser safety day plus the exam. Is anyone else from PL attending?

Can anyone recommend some 'light' reading to help with the exam?

I can only think of one (ignorance, not assertion that it's all you need), and you probably already have it: HS(G)95 Laser Guidelines.

It used to cost a lot, but I think can be downloaded for free in PDF now from HMSO. Failing that, I have some scans that were given to me a few years ago, and if you want them, I can attach them in a ZIP to a follow-up post because if the HMSO only wants the price of hard copy, then it's fair use to post an electronic one here.

Thanks. Fabulous quality file. (Those scans were diabolical).

Also of possible help, a message I saved, from Steve Roberts, a few years ago. He's here now ('mixedgas') so may know changes or alternatives...

This is a good read: http://www.pangolin.com/resguide09b.htm John O'Hagan's thesis, 'A Risk Assessment Methodology for the Use of Lasers in the Entertainment Industry'
