    Default NEOS Power Supply

Ok... I give up. Maybe too soon but, I give up. I've tried to figure out Meanwells' web site, Traco's web site and one other one and I'm sorta stumped. I need to replace the power supply in a NEOS 8 channel PCAOM.

It was made by Power Solutions Inc. Model #AE070UT343C

    The input is 90-250VAC 2-1A 47-63 Hz
    +15V 3.5A +24V .5A
    -15V .25A

It's one of those caged ones:

Can anyone just say, "Here's a link. Buy this" and I can be done? The electronics numptiness is glaring through right now.

And... when we're done... we'll move on to pictures of the ones I need to replace in a Kvant so it has 120v supplies rather than 240v. No... they don't switch automatically. It was built for Europe.

Thank you in advance for your undying patience, caring and tolerance of my dumb ass!

I might still have a NEOS spare.

    I'll check.

I have searched mauser and digikey and didn't have luck. I would suggest you make an offer on one of these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEOS-DRIVER-...-/321193424953 as it will probably be cheaper than a new one. Wait for other replies but that is the quickest solution!

Looking at the documentation (http://www.neostech.com/PDFs/drivers%20for%20pcaoms.htm) it looks like the driver wants:

    "InputPower:
    +24 VDC @ 0.8 Amps
    +12 VDC @ 0.8 Amps
    -12 VDC @ 0.2 Amps
    +5 VDC @ 1.8 Amps"

Might be easier to find a supply that conforms to those specs than +15V 3.5A, +24V .5A, -15V .25A....

Ha, ha! Yeah, I'm in post SELEM pretend I know what I'm doing and fix stuff mode. There is no rush on this. I don't really even have a gas laser. I just want it working in case. Or, at least have it in sale/trade condition.

I did a quick look around and didn't find much. You may end up having to buy 2 power supplies and try to make them fit.

    Maybe something like this: http://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/...2lEemQW7jQE%3d

    And this: http://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/...p%2fwrkIBj0%3d

The only way to make that work though would be to drill some holes in the bottom of the driver chassis and mount them with stand offs.

The only thing that concerns me is what disco posted, voltages that don't match the label on your power supply. If you look at the pcaom driver itself, what do the labels read? I'd pop one of mine open to look but since my pager just went off, again, I'll be back on the road in a few minutes.

Anyway, if you had these parts by this weekend.......

suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

I'll open up the pile of the dead NEOS AO drivers today. I bet I have one.
