I have interest, installing the din-rail for the power supplies would make it nice and clean. Comments from what I read in chat I agree as well as with Jon on the power connector. The ac out idea for a switch etc was also nice but not a must have.

To be semi silly, a small run of copper tubing and some hardware the baseplate could be water cooled.

As long as I can get my layout to work, ill be in for a small one, if not ill have to hold out for the double size.

Well thank you, but these are going to make the prototypes look like they were made with a jigsaw and a drill press haha we learned a lot building those two cases.

I updated the top post with the latest revisions:

- Added cutout for one Neutrik RJ-45 which can also be used for various other Neutrik connectors like the PowerCon series.
- Changed cutout for the power switch to a more standard 20mm in case a different switch is preferred
- Moved IEC cutout back down, off the sub-panel
- Realigned things a bit


Anything else you'd like to see changed before a run of these is produced? If a blank plate is desired, they will be available for a small charge or one can supply their own, of course. I considered adding a total of three RJ-45 cutouts, but decided to go with one on the stock sub-panel. There's always the Stanwax ILDA-Cat-5 adapter.

As for locking power receptacles, I found these:

They're available for pretty cheap and fit a standard IEC cutout, from what I can tell. Not only that, but in a pinch, one can use a standard power cable.

Lastly, a finned top plate is something I'm still researching but it would probably have to be a custom option, due to the mill time required for it to be machined properly.

EDIT: actually read your whole post.Are you referring to underside of the optic deck? if so would this be optional? as I was going to mount on both surface sides and TEC cool. thanks

Started a new thread, now that these are up on the site and orders can be placed.
Here's a link to that thread.

Lead time is 3-4 weeks and a run of these will be started once there are a couple of orders.
