I've heard and read so many good things about the Pea Soup that I've been thinking about it for some time. I've got more than my fair share of things that make atmosphere and have spent a ton of money on stuff that's been used a few times and now is just sitting around in boxes. Haze is just one of those tricky things where, it takes awhile to find out what works best for you and your situations. I currently use two DF-50's and they've been the go-to units now for over a year. I can't help but wonder though, how much better the Pea Soup really is. It's an expensive ponder! Wonder if there is a way to rent one in the states just to try out.

Then again... there is the MGD. TOO. MANY. DECISIONS.

Hi brad, I have some experience here. The df-50's are great hazers period. Their only problem is they will leave a grease residue on stuff after prolonged use. I haven't used the pea soup but have heard good things. We used the mdg hazers and they destroyed the df 50's. They make a much smaller particle and use a lot less fluid with the down side of the co2 tank. The mdg made a small co2 tank last a LONG time so it really wasn't a big deal at all for us. Like everything else you get what you pay for. When you step up to a co2 hazer you will never go back.

    Hey Brad.

What chad says about the MDG goes just as much for the Pea Soup.
Fom what I can see, they're very (read almost identicle!) similar machines. On paper, the Pea Soup produces a finer haze, though I've not yet had a chance to compare the two in real life...
However, the deciding factor for me was the cost.
    1x MDG = ~3x Pea Soup!!
1x DF-50 = ~ 2/3 a Pea Soup. (And I've wasted years of my life cleaning DF fluid out of moving light optics! )

    It's a no brainer really!
If in doubt... Give it a clout?
