    Default Laserwave Distributor

I am still in the middle a big hassle with the purchase of a couple of lasers from China that I discussed in another thread. The origin of the problem was with the distributor, but was greatly magnified by the fact that the distributor is also from China. The 12 hour time offset, some clarifications required due to language difficulties and shipping costs make this process difficult. There is also the threat of expensive two way shipping for any laser coming out of China that requires repair or adjustment. I have experienced this as well with more than a month of turn around time on a Vashio laser I ordered a couple of years ago from a distributor in the US.

In the same thread, I posted that I might consider becoming a Laserwave distributor for North America. After numerous discussions with Laserwave we have signed an agreement and I will be representing their products. Unlike some distributors I will be stocking SOME inventory here in the US. The units will be tested and if necessary adjusted when appropriate or returned to the factory prior to shipment. Turn around time will be fast and the shipping costs will be much reduced.

The cost of obtaining these products from me will be competitive with the lowest costs currently available WORLDWIDE. But, because of the investment to become a stocking distributor I am looking for some help in developing a list of the most attractive products. This isn't a wish list of "boy would I love one of those". Rather, I need a list of what would be a probable/possible purchase.

In some ways, this is a little like a group buy, but with a manufacturer's entire line as the item. Unlike a group buy, there is no obligation here just a listing to help "stock the shelves". There will be a supply of optics such as mirrors, wave-plates, dichroic combiners and PBS cubes, but I made it clear to them that I will test these items myself prior to selling them. It is the obviously more expensive items where an "interest list" would help the most. The time frame is soon to immediate.

Take a look @ their web site and let me know.

suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

As mentioned above, a couple of 2 watt 532's would be in the near future (in addition to the one I PM'd you about.)
