Abstract Challenge

I've just got LSX and thought, to help me along in the learning process, I would start this thread.

I'll start off with a TED talk about Psychedelic Science and amazing images created from nature. Over the next month, have a go at creating an abstract (or more than 1) based on either something you've seen in the video or a concept that is linked in some way, then post a video of your laser creating the effect, or from your preview window of your software.

If you want to keep this challenge going, let me know and we can decide on a way of posting ideas but leaving enough time for people to create something.

Cool vid. The drawback to watching it is I'm more interested in playing with some ferrofluid over trying to create abstracts right now though.

How about filming ferrofluid and pumping it through Lasercam? Best of both worlds :P

I've made a start on an abstract but will give it a bit more attention as I can improve upon this.

My idea came from the reaction of particles with sound and this abstract uses expressions within LSX that react in real time to audio input (all learnt through trial and error this afternoon).

Apologies for video quality and slight sound sync issues (Windows movie maker, not LSX).

nb using TTL lasers so modulation isn't as it should be!
