Default Can anyone please point this fellow in the right direction?

I hope at least a few here have knowledge on this use for lasers and scanners--

    Hello,

Do you have access to any type of high resolution laser galvo heads?

    Regards

    Second reply--

    Hey there Len,

To answer your question, and I am assuming by 15kpps you are speaking to ILDA resolution, to be honest I don't know if even 30K would suffice for this application. The intended goal is a laser head galvo for stereolithography resin curing, for a 3D printing platform. Any idea if your options would meet or exceed 50 micron resolution for UV resin curing?

I am located in Richmond VA USA.

    Best regards

    Gregory

Is this more about the beam size/specs than the galvos? Could also use a high res DLP projector but not sure on accuracy- probably better than galvos for repeatability?

There has been use of a certain video projectors dlp chip for this use... Without certain wavelength diodes removed but this is not plug and play.

Laser (the acronym derived from Light Amplification by Stimulated Emissions of Radiation) is a spectacular manifestation of this process. It is a source which emits a kind of light of unrivaled purity and intensity not found in any of the previously known sources of radiation. - Lasers & Non-Linear Optics, B.B. Laud.

Calculating spatial resolution of a Galvo scanned laser beam requires a bunch of equations I do not have with me. After a five hour flight today, I get home on a red eye after a layover. So maybe in the morning I'll post the math. I've yet to see a low cost Asian galvo with the position sensor accuracy data specified.

I have repaired SLA systems that used both G120 and capacitive feedback Cambridge galvos for SLA. It is doable.

In fact when SLA was developed, it was the only way.
