...pretty sweet piece of software if you've got outboard analog gear that responds to CV.

IIRC, most of MOTU's interfaces are DC-coupled.
I used to have an 896...and really regret selling it.
Yes, that one and the even more specialized combination of hardware & software from Expert Sleepers. Great combo! My only concern being converting from that to a balanced signal...

I hadn't seen the Expert Sleepers modules before. Cool!

If you REALLY need to go differential, single ended to differential is [usually] a snap.

    Adjust to your needs.

Do not treat this app note as scripture; there are more than one ways to do single ended to differential conversion. This is just ONE route that happens to involve VERY few parts.

I am very thankful for your information.

If I understand correctly, other means to convert to differential (transformers, for example) are not useful in this context. This is a reason to avoid the so-called passive DI-boxes.

    See Attached.

Your fixation with correction amps is misplaced. You do not need one at this time.

These are not minute, tiny, signals. The only reason we use differential at all is for touring, venues are rarely wired like industrial plants, labs, or hospitals. You can get along just fine without it.

The first thing after the line receiver circuit in a galvo amp is the gain potentiometer. I assure you, on most of them, its turned for near maximum attenuation.
