Default Converting my LK-PD2 TTL projector to analog with flexmod P3 - guidance please :)

So I recently purchased a 500 mw RGB TTL projector (LK-PD2) and right away realized the first thing I'd like to address is to replace the TTL drivers with something like the flexmod P3 analog drivers. I am new to lasers, but not electronics. Is this a case of just swapping out drivers, or am I missing one of the finer points? Any advice is welcome!!! LSX is a great program and I can see A LOT more potential with analog modulation.

On a related note, my 445 nm blue beam (300 mw) is fat. When I display a scanned line, it's at least twice as wide as the red and green beams. Any advice on how to go about addressing this short of replacing the module? Thanks again!

just measure the current your lasers are being driven at with the TTL drivers then set the flexmods to deliver the same amount of current. you'll probably want to bypass any onboard show cards and wire the input to the flexmods directly to the color signal pins on the ilda port (the db25)

    here are the relevant pinouts:

the blue laser is more divergent due to the nature of the diode. it's a multimode emitter with a large fast axis divergence. this can be reasonably corrected with specialized optics. either a cylindrical lens set, or a pair of anamorphic prisms. search the forums for information about correcting 445 diodes. there's a wealth of information.

suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

And thanks for the ILDA connector pic. I've been planning on searching for it recently since I want to start being more familar with the pins. Voila! There it is.
