That's the way to do it! I want to go old school (maybe too much) - multiple scan heads, separate colors (red, green, blue AND yellow), layered effects, etc. All controlled through DMX and DMX frames. It's as close to Laserium as I will be able to get (even on a very limited scale).

This is exactly what I am gearing up to do. I only have enough parts for 3 scan heads right now but a 4th can be added in at any time. I will be driving it with my QM2000 and my FB3. All my lumias will have separate RGB lasers (no beam steering from the scan heads) that will each be controlled via Dave's 0~5V DMX boards and P3 drivers and all of my scanheads will have DMX selectable scanthroughs, maybe 3 each plus open.

I'm starting on the hardware first, then will look at how I end up controlling it later. The single color thing may not pan out, but I think that less is better sometimes. I'll be doing much more than lumia if I can make this work. Yep - not cheap, I'm not in a rush and will chip away at this as I can. I'd like to see what I can do with the FB4 when it becomes available.

So nice to hear others going back in time for the art. I just wish I had better knowledge of how it was done, spend a lot of time experimenting as I have only been in this since 2010.

That's a very cool effect, PB! Thanks for sharing, gonna have to experiement with that. I've done something similar with a freznel, but not with lumia, very cool!

But it must be so pretty if multiline. Considering using mine for that purpose or just selling it as a little WL has made it my way
