Well, Looks like I got booted on LPF.

I dont see that here. Not in my experience anyway.

Please note this is my experience. I've had 3 separate offers for help without me asking for it. All 3 have yet to follow through. On one I got some excuses, then ignored. One didnt even remember what was offered, then tried to sell me something different. The third, which is a popular company rep here, just stopped communication entirely. I'm very good with communication, so that was not the issue. All were one on one in PM.

The problem is I do need help, but I'm ok with doing it on my own too. What is happening is the good intentions are wasting my time. I want to finish my projects, but I'm waiting for these people to come though. Its pushing my projects back further, and further because I take people at their word, and so far is mostly BS. Speaking for myself I follow through on what I promise. IE http://www.photonlexicon.com/forums/...-Seller-Review Which may not sound like much, but if you knew my living situation you'd know how much effort that was. I'm in no situation to just give stuff away. Just getting user of a car to go to the post office was a hassle.

Right now I'm at a complete stand still, and its going to be that way for a long time because I was stupid enough to wait for people to keep their word. Please dont think I'm impatient. I have no problem waiting a month+ for something to come though. Its the excuses, and drop off of communication which is my problem. If you dont want to follow though then at least tell me so I can move on. I know life gets in the way, I also know good intentions are worthless without following though.

Sorry for the rant, I'm very frustrated. i cant even post here anymore because I have nothing to discuss till my projects move forward.

Why not just start a new thread about the help you need? and stop bumping this one PLEASE.

... maybe because guys at LPF have more free time than some here you are not getting the help you need very fast.. - I have never had any of my questions go unanswered- make that new thread and I will read it and see if i can help-

I have never claimed to have ALL the answers but lucky for me, I have friends who do.

If it will help to make a thread about you needs at the other forum i can also do that for you..

bumping this thread is pot stirring- the title in inaccurate- I doubt the OP wants to keep it going- perhaps being embarrassed by his incorrect assumptions-
I have met Steve and we are friends- he is a huge asset to both forums- he is not wrong about ANYTHING very often-- If he asked you to let this thread fade away I am sure you would have done that already- but you issues with me & LPF are the only reasons you keep this thread bumped- shame on you-this shows zero respect for Steve IMHO.

DTR got banned here- soon after he joined .. by accident AND maybe by bot--(he happened to live too close to EF ) and I did not go to LPF and trashtalk PL- I did post my strong feelings here at PL about Jordan getting banned but when it was fixed - that was the end of it. same should happen with this thread-- if you feel the need to reply to me why not do it in PM??

I've been reading a few posts in a buried area of LPF, and I'm sure some subtle pruning or settling of old scores was going on.

Of course. They try to cut all the drama out, and anything thats goes against the forum's status quo. I cant tell you how many of my posts they cut. They werent always trolling posts either. They basically threw Lasersbee out of the forum, and no one did anything. I also just saw a thread created by one of their own mods about the ridiculous size of the ads on top of all the forum pages. Avery deleted the whole thread without a word. The motto of the forum is to freely discuss lasers, and laser companies, but obviously thats BS.

I agree with Dave 100%. I've never known, heard, or even had an inkling anyone was against you Steve. IIRC only Electrofreak has ever said anything truly derogatory about PL, but never directly at you, and he had no pull at all on the forum.

That is very sad-- and i might have believed you are correct except for the fact that immediatly after this thread was started i went to LPF and the word 'banned' was not under your username. at the same time i PMed daguin and he also confirmed that you atm were not banned-- of course i have no idea about any old issues involved with all this but I tend to think is was a 'glitch' in the system-- but I could be wrong--

I have just started a new thread at LPF about LSO's it is a tutorial and I would appreciate it very much if you would step in and offer advice or correct anything I have wrong. Its located in the 'tutorial' section.

-- so even if there were some kind of problem i would think safety would trump that every time- PL cannot critisize LPF on the topic of safety and at the same time also not add to this very important topic.

I see nothing to be gained by continuing to assume or suspect that your and/or Sam were ever banned- I have apologized to you for this on behalf of LPF and aside from that there is not much more i can do to make this thread fade away-- I know all to well Steve, how you feel about safety-and aside from this i have never seen any bad info from you at LPF.. -- Those like me that 'know' you could not have more respect than we do.-- I know you have very little 'free' time and fully appreciate when you do post at LPF..
