I'm thinking more along these lines. Nice little local company.

Couple of 55gl drums, a 20gl drum, some angle iron, piece of stove pipe, and a grate. Call a local welding shop, and have them put it together for you. Should be under $300. I've been wanting to build one forever, but everywhere I lived for the past 10 years didnt have a yard big enough to put it. I use a small stainless smoking box for my grill.

Pit pig sounds good, but no crispy skin. Do you have one of those torches that are used to kill weeds?

I'm German, I know I'm suppose to like beer, but count me out. I do make a killer Mai Tai though, so I can bring a jug of that.

My only limitation is I cant make the first and second weekends of June. I do my volunteer work at those times.

I am wondering if there is any need to consider the setup to be more club like and less table top. Should there be a need for mounting any projectors? Would there be any interest in video?

Who would be interested in attending?
Would a day trip to MIT for a tour of the labs be interesting to anyone?
Would a terminated outdoor component be worth the effort?
    Any other not good dates?

I may be interested in attending if the planets are in alignment, or I have no conflicting gigs.

For an outdoor show, we can shoot it from the back of the indoor riding arena and terminate it in the woods. I have a 42 foot X 25 foot scrim screen that can be placed between two light posts. Plenty of power and WiFi even out there. Click image for larger version.

Time to bump this. We are moving into the spring, the thaw is starting and mud is flowing. May or June will probably be the best months for a LEM as anything in April would probably be too soon and July might be a bit hot in the large arena (as well as a bit close to SELEM).

Any thoughts? Any good vs bad dates? Fearless, if you are still good to host this then what do you want to do? My crew is good to go if you are.

if we set the date for Memorial day on May 26, then it can be a three day event. The indoor arena is insulated, so it never gets really hot in there. I'm good anytime, just as long as there is enough lead time (say 1 month). I would love to have Andrew to come so I'll PM him now and see when he is available.
