YES, I will be there for some of it and hopefully a couple other members of our team can make it as well.
How can I not attend a LEM when it's happening 1.5 miles from my home? It just doesn't get any closer than that!
    I can bring (2) 15W's and smoke/haze.
Looking forward to meeting you all!

We are confirmed at the MIT sailing pavilion, as it is after graduation and pretty quiet, so we can take over the place.

So here are pictures of the venue. The outdoor area is 200 X 100 feet and has six light posts that are 30 feet high. We can string my scrim screen between the posts midway or at the end. The is power and Wifi out there. The entire area is terminated by trees. I also have speakers and a sound system on the poles, but I would probably augment the system with more speakers. In the event of weather we can have the show indoors. As to smoke, Andrew will bring his two foggers, and I'll have mine, and if we get really lucky, we'll have costal fog (it is the right time of year, and I'm 3 miles from the ocean).

How much does the sailing excursion cost??

How about renting a van for the day? I dont drink so I could be the designated driver. I have 15 years of delivering experience so everyone would be in good hands.

The sailing is free. (Except for the pizza.) As for the van idea, we would have to figure out if Krazer is available, and how many people are going to MIT.

I am waiting to hear from Krazer. I think the # of locations involved might pose a chalange. Assuming Krazer is able to give a tour, not everyone must attend all the activities

Thats why I recommended getting a van, or maybe two. They seat 12 comfortably. Splitting the cost 12 ways makes it affordable for everyone, and removes any challenges that might arise.

I'd be just as happy sitting on the dock, with the sun shining on my face, as I would be tootling around in sailboat. So no worries about losing a space in the boat.

Krazer PMed me and said that that date conflicts with CLEO, so he won't be able to attend. This probably means no MIT tours (damn).

I don't disagree with the van, I'm just not sure if it will help. But, if it will then I'm OK with it. I think the most important thing at this point is to get a reasonable estimate as to how many will attend. I'm game even if it is just Rick, Andrew and some of his friends, Tech and our crew of 5-6. But as others express interest then the arrangements will be easier to set up. I assume the costs will be getting there, accommodations for one or two nights, food (obviously), Friday night for those that plan to see Andrew's set up in Boston and what the barbecue on Saturday pro-rates to.

Thats a bummer. I was looking forward to see MIT's campus, and a real laser lab.

I dont need accommodations. I live 20 minutes from Rick so I can just drive home. I think Rick mentioned earlier people could stay at his location if needed. I'd offer my place but its really small and there is not really any room for people to sleep.
