option b - standby beam suppression kit
This means that you need to modify hardware

    Hello,

    Thank you, "swamidog" and "Bbe".

I have those resistor values on hand. I will modify one of my 3.3 flexmods and see what happens.

    I will post my results.

    Hello,

I wired the two resistors just as described in the manual (and picture I posted). I put my meter set to Amps in place of the diode, modulation to ground and powered up at 12VDC.

The "Red "Error" light was on. I had the Bias set to 30mA before the modification, it now reads 18mA with no adjusting. I moved the modulation line to V+ and the current went up to 135mA which is 15mA lower than I had it set previously.

With the "Error" light lit, I decided not to put a diode on the output.

Not sure if a firmware change is needed or not, but with the modulation connected to ground, I was still getting current through the diode leads.

I will order one of the "Standby beam suppression kit" version from Innolasers and see if that makes a difference.

No miracles. Or it's the incorrect firmware or you make a mistake in the circuit

I wonder can i install my own firmware onto FMP3 (licensing aspect)?
