Why would anyone buy this when Pangolin do free upgrades?
Is it just me, have I missed something here?

you still need to buy the hardware... and the hardware comes with the software.
i'm not sure why you'd want to buy the software without the hardware. am i missing something?

And you can't even use it without the hardware connected (as the hardware is basically the key for the software)

Not sure about the others but when you buy FlashBack 3 the QS is considered to be 'free'.
Anybody could 'borrow' the disc and put QS in their PC but ONLY the FB3 will make it work.
AFAIK there are NO other DACs that work with Pangolin nor can any other soft (except Pango's BEYOND) that work with the FB3. hk

Then you've just wasted whatever $ you spent for JUST the LD2000 software, since the software will not run without a QM2000 attached, and the content discs have been licensed for the exclusive use of Pangolin users.
Also, multiple threads with different prices for the same {questionable} items probably won't improve your chances of a sale, especially given the large number of very well informed Pangolin users on this forum.

Outside of a disc replacement, I can't really see why anyone would want this. Even then, I image all of my software (if able) just in case something happens to my discs because replacements can be expensive.
If you're the smartest person in the room, then you're in the wrong room.
