Hey Cipher0.
Welcome to PL. It's worth filling your profile out so we know where you are.
Laser safety glasses are designed for accidental, not intentional exposure to laser radiation, so do bear this in mind when using lasers.
I would strongly recommend against fleabay for safety equipment unless you know of a trusted seller. In the UK I purchased my safety glasses from Stanwax laser.

Hi thank you Galvonaut.
It is good price, 30 pounds. But it is out of stock.
Also i cant find how much Watts and nm it can protect from...
There are all sorts of different ratings but should comply with the standards in your country. I bought the RGB glasses which block out most light but will be investing some aligning glasses, a pair for each for reg, green and blue. These allow more light through but also protect less.
Send Rob an email or contact him by PM (Stanwax on PL) Rob is very nice and will help all he can - you might not understand his accent though

$100.?? Uh, wanna take a guess how much glass-eyeballs cost?Tip: Spend a few-hundred bux.. Glass vs plastic... Here's a good 'low power-level' model: http://www.lasersafety.com/laser-saf...ses/r10/T5B02/
..'Phillips' makes a deeper-protecting broadband-model, as-well.. EDIT: bling... http://www.phillips-safety.com/laser...g-and-c02.html ..Ya, pricey (..and yes, you can find some distributors selling for less..) but, again..how can you really put a price-tag on your eyesight? Think about it.....and no, I don't work for Phillips.
Welcome to PL.. Fasten your seatbelt and kiss your retirement plan goodbye.![]()
cheers..

I'm a big fan of not using safety glasses and just being careful and aware and not using full power to align beams. Glasses just encourage you to use higher powers which have negative safety implications in other ways.

You are using Bonetti's defense against me, ah?
I thought it fitting, considering the rocky terrain.
Safety eyewear as a means of protecting against laser exposure is considered to be ‘last resort’. (in fact all PPE is considered this way in the hierarchy of safety control measures - there is too much that can go wrong, and it only protects the user, not the working environment). What this means is that you should look to other ways of controlling that risk.
That said, there are occasions where eyewear is the only practical option. In which case you must make sure that the eyewear you use is appropriate. In Europe the laser safety eyewear must have a ‘CE’ mark on it, and be compliant with the applicable EN207 or EN208 safety standards.
