    Default 808nm/IR safety glasses

Has anyone got a cheap source for IR safety glasses? I want something cheap because I suspect I'll only need to use them once and technology for greens will move to diode shortly, thus rendering them redundant.

I thought it fitting, considering the rocky terrain.

    What optical density?

E-bay has several listings for O.D. 5 IR goggles. They run around $35 or so. Should be fine for DPSS work, but I'm not sure that I'd trust them with a Laserscope. (Might want a little more protection for one of those beasts...)

Based on James explanation of OD ratings I think I only need 4 so 5 should be fine

I purchased a pair of these:

I viewed the IR with night vision monocular. They clearly block the IR when I place the goggles in front of the monocular. I would say they work and are the cheapest I could find.

It appears they are on "sale."

Great laser safety glasses, they aren't the same anymore as shown on the picture.
You will want the LSG09 model.

They now come in glases pair with a foam surrounding to enclose your eyes completely and also allow you to detach the legs and attach the strapon (which I recommend so there is no way it can fall off or you taking it off easly by mistake).

Comes with an OD graph and I also tested the 808-1064nm ones with an 2w pump diode and a camera (without me being in the presence (a jig with remotely switching the projector on in a seperate room).
It fully blocks the IR light and I was safely able to work adjusting a KTP crystal in a green DPSS and probing and stuff while using them, they are great.

They allow paypal payments if you place an order and then message them with the order number where they will send you a manual payment request.
They also ship the units out quick.
Don't bother with the ebay crap, your eyes aren't worth the risk.
