    Default Old Lumia Projector

A while ago I posted about a display laser made in the mid-'70s by Holex, the company better known for its early hologram production. Here's the link: http://www.photonlexicon.com/forums/...ighlight=holex

In that thread, the matching lumia projector was mentioned with a pic of an ad in a c1978 Edmund Scientific catalog. Well, here it is! Along with a matching laser in a smoked brown acrylic tubular case. I got both from Larry Goldberg (the former president of Holex), along with a traveling case for the set. There are two holes in the rear of the projector case that allow beams to get to the variable speed rotating disk. Classic mid-'70s laser effects for the home.

suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

Laser (the acronym derived from Light Amplification by Stimulated Emissions of Radiation) is a spectacular manifestation of this process. It is a source which emits a kind of light of unrivaled purity and intensity not found in any of the previously known sources of radiation. - Lasers & Non-Linear Optics, B.B. Laud.
